Second tenure does not call for campaign-Ogbobore

AN opinion and community leader in Delta State, Prince Felix Ogbobore
has called on campaigning politicians to desist from deception in other to get sympathy votes in the coming elections.

In a statement released and made available to politicsgovernance.com exclusively, Ogbobore said, “Any elected officer seeking re-election and campaigning is only poisoning the mind of the electorates because they are yet to fulfill their 2015 campaign promises.

According to the statement, “A second term office holder is not always trusted because they are on the last lap of their tenure and would make anything possible to gather more wealth for themselves.

Ogbobore said, “The level of awareness created by the Muhammadu Buhari
administration will shock politicians in 2019 and it is the quality of candidates put forward irrespective of political parties’ affiliation that would determine the outcome of the polls.

“The people should be allowed to choose their representatives themselves and allow their votes to count in order to facilitate the spread of the dividends of democracy in the country.

“Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) should endeavor to
conduct free, fair and credible elections and the Federal and state governments should desist from actions cable of causing break down of law and order before, during and after elections. He appealed.
